It seems that the floor in the house of this hostess is made of artificial stone. But in fact, she made it herself. From paper!

This trick works for floors with a concrete, stucco or plywood base layer.

To create such a floor, you will need:

- a roll of wrapping paper or a large pack of brown paper bags,
- PVA glue,
- wood varnish for interior work,
- polyurethane paint,
- a paint roller,
- a bucket.

First you need to remove the old coating and clean the floor to the ground. Make sure that there is no trace of glue left, get rid of the baseboards. If there are depressions or irregularities on the floor, they must be repaired. In order for the paper to stick better, the floor should not be too smooth, so you can go over it with a sander first.

Now tear the paper into large uneven pieces and remember a little - this way they will look more like natural stones.

If your floor has a concrete base, prepare a mixture of glue and water in a 1:1 ratio. The wood floor mix should be 75% water and 25% adhesive. Apply the mixture on the floor, put a piece of paper and cover with glue on top as well.

Now you need to cover the entire floor with paper. Make sure the pieces of paper overlap each other - they will shrink as they dry.

When the entire floor is covered with pieces of paper, let the glue dry thoroughly. Now it's time to varnish the floor for wood. If you like the color of the paper, choose a clear varnish. With a paint roller, you can evenly apply it to the floor.

For the next step, you need clear polyurethane paint. Apply several coats to make the floor strong and resistant to scratches and impacts. Each layer must dry properly before you start applying the next one.

And if the owners took the time to paint the pieces of paper in different colors, using different shades of wood varnish, or used pieces of paper of a certain shape, then the result can be much more spectacular!
