An old sweater is just a godsend for those who love all sorts of alterations. We already wrote about how using a sweater you can replenish your wardrobe with cute hand-made boots .
Today we will please with a new thing and our baby. Children grow by leaps and bounds. And buying a new hat every season is very expensive. And for what? After all, you can make a new original hat for a child at the expense of dad's or mom's old sweater.
You will need: 30 minutes of time, an old soft sweater, a sewing machine, a homemade pattern, scissors and pom-pom yarn.
1. Measure the circumference of the child's head and divide by pi (~3.14). Get the diameter, which you divide by 2 to get the radius. For a snug fit of the hat, subtract another 1 cm.
2. Cut out a hat pattern from paper.
3. Turn the sweater inside out, lay it on the table and transfer the pattern to the fabric.
4. Sew the resulting workpiece from the wrong side on a sewing machine.
5. Turn the product inside out, iron the seams.
You can decorate the hat with cute multi-colored pompoms by tying them to the ears.
