Choosing and buying a housekeeper - a key holder for the house

I began to scour the Internet in search of a housekeeper for my home. At first, I wanted to see what they came up with in this area. To be honest, the variety of options surprised me. I never thought that the designers approached this issue so seriously.

Then I began to look for what I could actually buy from what I saw. It is a pity, of course, that some options exist only in the form of concepts, however, those key holders that are available for free sale look very stylish and cool.

So, a small digression into the range of today's key holders and mailboxes (most often they come in one set).

1. Standard key holders.

For most of us, key holders are presented in the form of a small locker, behind the door of which all these same keys “from the apartment where the money is located” are stored.

Yes, of course, there are simple options - just a dozen hooks nailed, but we will miss such homemade products, because they did not deserve the right to be called housekeepers.

So, the simplest keys look like this:

Options are strict and not particularly pretentious. Appropriate in offices, hostels, hotels, etc., in the sense of inexpensive and functional. Unfortunately not suitable for home use.

Buying these is not difficult.

2. A similar option in the form of a locker, but more comfortable and interesting.

They can be of completely different shapes and types, most often sold in the elite gifts section. Their cost is ~ $50. We have selected for you photos of various products in appearance and quality. Buying them in the CIS is not difficult if you know how to use the search.

To be honest, neither the first nor the second option seduced me.

3. Metal wall key holders of various shapes

All the housekeepers, which will be discussed below, I found exclusively on foreign sites. In our countries they are not for sale. They can be called like this: Wall Mail Organizer and Key Holder, Key and mail rack, Key Hanger.

4. Creative wall key holders

I wanted something that would catch the eye. So that the guests who came to my house would ask: “What is this?” and "Where did you buy it?". So I started looking further in this direction.

I liked the key holder called Key Thing. Its authors are two Danish designers - Thomas Brinch-Moller and Jacob M. Lund. Her appearance is more like, of course, a toy - it looks like a ladybug from the side. In fact, the original key holder is made of plastic (sometimes black, sometimes red).

It easily attaches to the wall and can hold at least five keychains. Designers promise that any keys will fit into it.

Where to buy such beauty, I, unfortunately, did not find.

The House Key Holder

Funny house key holder. It has a main large key, on which all your other keys to the house, garage or office are attached, and which is then inserted into a makeshift lock.
