We sew a leather bag-bag with our own hands

Do you want to go out for a walk with a dog or a child in the evening, but do not know where to put the very minimum of things that you cannot do without today? Keys, money, wallet should always be with you in such cases.

You can make a leather bag-bag with your own hands. Throw it on your shoulder - and walk boldly.

We offer a translation of a master class on this topic from Eva Foreva (USA, Philadelphia). Thanks to its convenient shape and the ability to choose the size to your taste and mood, the bag can be used both as a shopping bag, if you make it a larger size, and for going to the gym, or you can store all kinds of cosmetics and household small things in it.

You will need 2 leather rectangles. For example, you can make an A4 bag (then you don’t need to measure anything, circled a sheet of paper and that’s it).

We put a marker 2 points at a distance of about 7 cm from each side and 2 cm from above.

We make holes. There is such a special sewing hole punch, although a clerical one may pull such a job.

First we work with the first canvas. We bend the edge so that the holes are just on the fold, and sew the edge as shown in the photo above.

We pass one end of the twine into one hole, the other into the second. And we push the ends to the “exit” with something like a wooden knitting needle. Tie knots on the sides so that the cord does not stretch.

It should turn out like this. Repeat the process with the second piece of leather.

Fold both rectangles and sew the bag along the edges.
