In the United States of America, as well as in Western Europe, they have long been accustomed to making the most of the material. Even those things, it turns out, that we throw into the landfill, will become useful and acquire a new life. Why do they need them? It's simple: later it will be possible to build something useful and new from such unusual materials.

One of these enthusiasts was a Briton with the nickname Jayefuu . He offered the whole world a completely new and original idea of creating tiles from such material as CDs.

A huge advantage of this invention of the British was that a product that often becomes useless due to damage or scratches and which is doomed to end up in a landfill, it turns out, can get a second life.

At first, the description of the process of creating such a roof from solid old discs seems very complicated. But this is only an illusion. Fastening is carried out according to the principle of scales. To prepare the discs for fixation, you can use a drill: it can simultaneously drill the necessary holes accurately and without any problems, which will then become a necessary element. Nails will then be driven into these holes, which, in fact, will connect the disks to the surface (it can be a rectangular board of the required size). Roof material is ready!

This technology will require approximately 120 discs per 1 sq.m. Using the drilling method, as well as the correct position of the discs, will eliminate the possibility of water passing through the holes in the CD.

To the question of which side is better to place the mount, there is no unequivocal answer. The advantages of having the shiny side on top can be the constant glow and brightness of the roof, as well as the ability of the rims to last longer.

The downsides can be neighbors annoyed by the bright light. Other than that, such a super shiny roof looks a bit silly.

In a word, everyone is given a choice: if you want the bright side, put it upstairs. If you don't want to, hide the "brightness" at the bottom.

By the way, many users were inspired by the idea of Jayefuu. Many note that they want to decorate in this way not only the roof of the house, but also the walls, as well as decorate the interior in this way.

But many reacted to the idea and rather skeptically. Users noted that such a roof could rather be used as a decorative "roof". In order for the roof to withstand wind loads, it will be necessary to glue several disks together, which will lead the user to an excessive consumption of glue and other materials.

In general, the idea of this Briton is not bad, but needs some work.
