DIY bunny slippers

Recently, bunny slippers have become popular. Of course, you can buy them in almost every store, but what a pleasure it is to make them yourself.

First you need to choose fabrics for the outer and inner parts (fleece, velor, wellsoft, etc.), for the sole (raincoat fabric, artificial leather, etc.), as well as insulation for the sole (slimtex). Prepare sewing accessories: sewing machine, needles, scissors, marker, safety pins.

For reference: the size of the top in the pattern for size 37-38 is 32 * 17 cm, and the height is -17 cm. When changing the size of the slippers, increase or decrease the pattern accordingly.

First of all, we sew the inner boot. We transfer the pattern to the fabric, do not forget about the allowances of 1 cm.

Cut out two rectangles, this will be the shaft. We chop off the parts with pins with the right sides to each other, as shown in the photo below.

You can first sweep and then sew. Now it's time to remove the seam allowances. We fold the boot and grind the back in a straight line, be sure to leave a hole in order to turn the boot inside out. We cut the allowances.

We connect the foot with a heater, thereby making it denser, softer, warmer. Cut off the excess insulation. We chop off the finished foot and the finished boot with safety pins with the right sides to each other.

We check that there are no holes, we begin to grind.

Trim the seam allowances with zigzag scissors. If there are no such scissors, we make notches in the places of bends.

We proceed to the external details of the slippers. We do the same with the external details of the slippers, leaving no holes for eversion, of course. Cut out two parts of the sole from raincoat fabric.

The turn came to cut the details of the ears. They will have to be stitched right sides to each other.

It is necessary to turn them out, make a line at a distance of 5 mm from the edge. As a result, on the hands of 2 pairs of pretty ears.

We attach the ears, their place is the side of the front side of the inner boot. When we turn the product inside out, the ears will be outside.

The outer part is to be turned out, and the inner part is left on the wrong side. Insert the outer boot into the inner boot and secure with safety pins. In this case, the parts should be folded right sides to each other.

Sew along the top circle and cut off the seam allowances. Previously, we left a hole in the back of the inner part, now we turn the slippers through it.

Close the hole carefully with a hidden stitch. A few movements, and the slippers take on a finished look.

You can stop there. Or add details like a ponytail or folds. We make folds using the longest stitch length. We sew the boot from the edge to about the middle. Then, pulling the lower thread, we get folds on the front of the slippers. We fix and hide the threads.
